Big Bass 3in1

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Big Bass 3in1 is one of those games that seems tiny at first and then quietly eats a whole afternoon. As the name hints, it's built around three connected modes: an aim-and-cast fishing mode, a quick sorting mini-game where you match your catch by size and type, and a slower collection screen where you fill out an album of species. They loop into each other nicely, so you never feel stuck doing the same thing for too long.

Controls are the standout. Casting is a single swipe with a little pull-back gesture for power, and reeling in uses a gentle tap rhythm that anyone can pick up in seconds. The sorting mode adds just enough pressure to keep your thumbs busy without turning stressful. It runs fine in portrait, which makes it a perfect one-handed game for the bus.

What won us over is the mood. The water animation is soft, the sound design is all splashes and quiet ambient tones, and there's no timer screaming at you. It's a comfort game with a bit more structure than most. If you want something calm that still gives you goals to chase, this one earns its spot.
