Emberfall Saga
★★★★★ 4.6
Emberfall Saga wears its old-school inspirations proudly. You gather a party of odd heroes, march across a hand-drawn world map, and settle fights in clean turn-based battles that reward planning over button mashing. The story is light but charming, told mostly through short, funny character banter.
The real hook is the class system. Every hero can slot two roles at once, and mixing them opens up combos you genuinely have to think about. We spent way too long respeccing a healer into a debuffer just to see what would happen, and the game rolled with it.
Battery-friendly and fully playable offline, it's ideal for longer sessions. The only knock is a slightly slow opening hour before the systems really open up. Push through it.
