Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a quiet, atmospheric adventure that tells its story entirely through environment. You wander a crumbling old house holding a single lantern, solving gentle puzzles and slowly piecing together what happened here. There's no combat and no rush.

The puzzles are logical and grounded — find a key, adjust a mechanism, notice a detail you walked past earlier. Nothing is cruel or obtuse, and the hint system is subtle enough that you rarely feel cheated when you use it.

It's the sound and lighting that carry the whole thing. Play with headphones. It's short, maybe three hours, but it stays with you longer than plenty of games five times its length.
